He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bell and Helen Bell. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Bell; his siblings, Dana McMannus (John) of Tucson and John (Beth Ware) of McGregor; his siblings' children, Heather McMannus of Phoenix and Luke McMannus of Tucson; his great-niece Ellie Jacobs of Phoenix; his brother-in-law Tom Vonderhaar (Julie); his siblings' children, Tony Vonderhaar, Tim Vonderhaar (Jess Bolar) and Jill Droste (Travis); and his sister-in-law Jean Biermann (Jeff). He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation and Hancher Auditorium.
