He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Keese and Twylah Keese (Engle); his wife Rose Beck; his son Tom Keese; and his siblings, Jack Keese and Beverly Hoeg.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Walsh (Chris) of Lincoln, Jack Keese (Donna) of Columbia, Paul Keese (Brigitte) of Egelsbach, Germany, Philip Keese (Kathy) of Durant, Angela Kriz (Bruce) and Jason Keese (Shari) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his close friend Julie Wiedner of Coralville; and his sister Shirley Wolfgram (Larry Keese) of Traer. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be directed to the Palliative Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
