He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Douglas and Mary Douglas (Patterson). He is survived by: his wife Jean Douglas; his son Shawn Douglas (Anita) of Iowa City; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Douglas, Andrew Douglas, Haleigh Ehmsen (Brandyn Maher) and Keighley Sheehan (Brad).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4330 St Patricks Dr, Iowa City, IA 52240). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (1122 N Dodge St, Iowa City, IA 52245).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
