Jon P. Burke Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Burke and Peg Burke; his wife Caroyln; his in-laws, Walter and Ruth Kempf; his daughter Angie Wilz; and his grandson Nicolas Wilz.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Brandt (Tom) of Iowa City and Jeff Burke (Kate) of Cummings Georgia; his grandchildren, Izzy Brandt, Zach Wilz (Micaela), Grace Brandt, Hannah Klink (Justyn), Jack Brandt, Delaney Burke, Brady Burke and Stella Burke; his brothers, David Burke (Paula Li) of Oakland, CA and Bill Burke (Lisa) of Denton, TX; his sister-in-law Elaine Paul (Terry); and also Fred Wilz of Ankeny.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Iowa City Elks Lodge #590 (637 Foster Rd, Iowa City, IA 52245).
As he would end every interaction, always remember, "Have fun out there!"In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family would like to support the Melanoma Research Fund at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the UI Hospitals and Clinics.
