With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julie Ann Blakley of Iowa City, Iowa, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Alvin Smith and Lorna Kathryn Smith; her children, Micah Jennings (Aaron), Tara Blakley and Justin "Jay" Blakley (Katie); her former husband Gizz Blakley; her grandchildren, Carter, Cal, Ruby and June; her siblings, Linda Hull (Earl), Marlene Fuhrmeister (Steve), Chuck Smith (Cheryl), Connie Gardner (Steve), Kaye Petsel (JB), Rod Smith and Gary Smith (Ginelle); her boyfriend Jim Hanson; her partner's children, Cory Hanson, Kyle Hanson (Tori Mets), Hali Hanson (Forest Clark) and Evan Hanson; her grandchild Lexi Wells; and also, Austin, Cora, Sawyer and Wyatt. She was also cherished by seven siblings, and her four sisters were her absolute best friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service (605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
