He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Royar and Virgina Cordray Royar. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Anne Kerber (Andy), Retired Major Gen and Rachael Vivian (Travis); and his siblings, Robert Royar and Ginger Lawhon (Mack).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (214 E Jefferson St, Iowa City, IA 52245). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
