We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Lula Callaway Palmer (Iowa City, Iowa). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mandeville and Annie Myrl Mandeville (Blackwelder); her stepfather Tom Roberts; and her brother Charles Chesnut. She is survived by: her husband Kim Palmer; her son Brent Palmer (Karen Fischer) of Iowa City; her grandsons, Oliver and Milo Palmer; her siblings, Tommy Chesnut (Susan) of Marietta, GA, Verianne Palmer (Leon) of League City, TX, Mary Chesnut of Hiawassee, GA, Buck Mandeville (Judy) of Yorktown, VA and Cary Mandeville (Ellie) of Atlanta, GA; and her sister-in-law Gwyn Chesnut of Carrolltown, GA.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Society (2355 Oakdale Rd, Coralville, IA 52241).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 100Grannies.org, Hospice of Iowa City, Iowa City Free Lunch Program or the Unitarian Universalist Society of Coralville, IA.
