It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Yeggy of Iowa City, Iowa, born in Wapello, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Casper Paul and Wanda Hazel Smith (Davis); her husband Leonard J. Yeggy; her daughter Judy Hamer; and her siblings, Lorvale Smith, Darlene Allen, Twalla McGee, Morris Smith, Donna Wenz, Paul Smith, Ruth Rager, Bonnie Mathes and Leo Smith.
She is survived by: her sister Theresa; her sons, Joe Yeggy, Steve Yeggy (Diane) and Kevin Yeggy (Lavon); her grandchildren, Stacey Yeggy, Stephanie Robinson (Mike) and Heather Yeggy; her great grandchildren, Megan Garrels, Mackenzie Garrels and Samantha Mahanna; and her sisters-in-law, Doris Smith and Patricia Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her memory to Emerson Point of Iowa City or St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City.
