It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philinise Y. Martin (Iowa City, Iowa), who passed away on April 16, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Harry Grant; her grandparents, Mary Martin and Alvis Martin Sr.; and her great-grandparent Hattie Walker. She is survived by : her mother Mary Martin; her children, Isabelle Martin, Jeremiah Fischer (Martin) (Jack) and Jayden Welch; her siblings, Joshua Booth (Samantha), Jason Booth, Jacqulyn Martin, Keith Kelly (Nicole) and Mark Martin; and her significant other Andrew Christensen. She is also survived by her extended family, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (1035 Wade St, Iowa City, IA 52240). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (2600 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
