He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Scott and Rose Scott (Cerny); his wife Ginny; his siblings, Roy Scott, Jr., Richard Scott, Roylene Johnson and Ruth Smith; and his nephew Larry Baschnagel.
He is survived by: his sister Rosemary Chown of Melrose, WI; his siblings-in-law, Guy Smith of Iowa City, Virgil Johnson of Ottumwa and Iris Scott of North Liberty; his sibling's children, Linda Baschnagel (Marshall Brown), Brenda Sanders (Gary), Kristi Stasi, Robert Scott, William Scott (Marla), Joe Smith (Kelly), Scott Smith, Sr., Andy Chown (Lisa), Bret Chown, Brad Chown (Lori) and Angela Chown; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Scotty Smith, Jr., Sydnie Smith (Shane Graf), Marissa Smith and Miranda Avey (Will).
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Family of Raymond Scott.
