He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Farthing (Fred Boehmke) of Iowa City and Elizabeth Farthing of Columbus, Ohio; his grandsons, Frederick and Fletcher Boehmke; his brother Bradford Farthing (Jean); and his sister-in-law Diane Farthing.
