He was predeceased by: his parents, J. A. Burns and Lula Mae Burns (Thomas); his sibling Lonzell Burns; his daughter Sharon; and his sisters, Katie Lynn of Ollie, J. A, Mary and Earline Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Moore; his children, Reginald Howard (Stacy), Latasha Anderson (Detre), Nekeya (Bright) and Destiny Burns (AJ); his siblings, Pearl Terry and John Burns (Rae); and his parents-in-law, Dave Roberson and Wardell Ollie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
