She was predeceased by: her parents, LaVal Apland and Katherine "Gladys" Apland (Kennelly); her husband John Lewis Swartz; and her sister Nancy Schwebke (Kenneth Schwebke). She is survived by: her sister Nancy [Schwebke]; her children, Ann [Rex] Ford of Iowa Falls and David [Brenda] Swartz of Chicago; her grandchildren, Haley and Gavin; her nieces and nephews, Curt Schwebke, Steve [Karla] Schwebke, Lori Mortenson, Sue Waldee, Anne, Mike, Don Sondag, Brad, Bill and Kurt Osmundson; and also Frances (William).
