She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Brooks and Gladys Thornburg Brooks; her former spouse Russell Scharnberg; her husband Donald Barhite of Alden, IA.; and her sons, Greg Scharnberg, Scott Barhite and Jeff Barhite.
She is survived by: her daughter Leslie Fraser (Kevin) of Huron, SD; and her grandchildren, Shredd Scharnberg, Kiersten Koch (Tim), Shannon Fox, Brooke Barhite, David Bucklin (Schalane) and Beau Fraser (Anna). She is also survived by great grandchildren, cousins and nephews.
