We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Jeanne McDermott of Jamaica, Iowa, born in Greene, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Gannon and Neoma Gannon (Garland); her husband James Edward McDermott; her siblings, Eugene Gannon and Marie Gannon; and her brother-in-law Art McDermott (Rita).
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Rasmussen (Jim) of Manilla, Roberta Mittelsted (Allen) of West Union, Patricia McDermott, John McDermott (Marsha) of Panora, Tim McDermott (Carol) of Jamaica, Mike McDermott (Jackie) of Tinley Park, IL and Bill McDermott (Deb) of Panora; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Gannon of Rippey. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Guthrie County Hospital, and the Jamaica Community Building.
