He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey and Mabel (Rogers); his brothers, Richard and DeForest; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon and Karen.

He is survived by : his former life partner Judy A. Frahm; his children, Chris (Jodi Melcher), Scott (Bekki), Brian (Shelly) and Jody Baxter (Joe) of Ankeny; his sister Patricia Bowen (William) of Reinbeck; his sister-in-law Carol; and his brother David. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
