He was predeceased by : his parents, Alice Pauline (Gerdes) and Harold Isaac Wagner; his wife Shirley Jean Metcalf; and his children, Verna Adams, Harlan, Steven and Robert Wagner.
He is survived by : his sons, Alvin of Philadelphia and David of Janesville, Iowa; and his sister Carol Wagner of Cedar Falls, Iowa.. He is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
