He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Uitermarkt and Ethel Uitermarkt; his brother Robert Uitermarkt (Sylvia); his parents-in-law, Henry and Anna De Jong; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy De Jong, Darlene De Jong, Howard De Jong and Otto Vos.
He is survived by: his wife Janice De Jong; his children, Kimberly Uitermarkt of Pella, Chad Uitermarkt, Melanie Uitermarkt of Otley and Steven Uitermarkt of Knoxville; his grandchildren, Hunter, McKinley and Caden; and his siblings, Arnold Uitermarkt, Pat Uitermarkt of Otley, Arlene Zante and Larry Van Zante of Pella. He is also survived by his siblings then later with his children and grandchildren.
