She was predeceased by: her parents, Gail Harland and Leona Beatrice Emmons (James); her husband Wally; and her sisters, Rita Amundson and Zeda Randolph.
She is survived by: her children, David Barkema (Robert) of Glen Flora, WI, Kay Barkema of Madrid, Doug Barkema (Julie) of Fort Dodge and Dennis Barkema (Jodi) of Jewell; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Brent, Nate, Kelsey, Brianna, Chloe and Kate; and her brother Denton Emmons (Barb) of Kamrar. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (439 Main St, Jewell, IA 50131). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Jewell Fire Department.
