He is survived by : his wife Ellen Spenner of Kalona; his children, Duane Hochstedler (Julie Cole) of Kalona and Diane Hochstedler (Tod Kahler) of Kalona; his grandchildren, Michael Callahan (Brianna) of Washington and Hannah Fifi (Pascal) of Johnston; his great grandchildren, Karsyn and Amani; his siblings, James Hochstedler (Pam) of Kalona, Loren Hochstedler (Elvesta) of Kalona, Marlene Schrock (Dale) of Iowa City and Twila Swartzentruber of Kalona; and his sister-in-law Nancy Hochstedler of Barstow, CA..
