She was predeceased by: her stepmother Mary Etta Fetter; her children, William, Barbara Wanizoski and Robert (Linda Szawiel); her grandson Jeffrey Lee Szawiel; her great grandchild Andy Duane Whiteside; her sister Rowena Meier; and her sister-in-law Haydee Meier.
She is survived by: her son Edward Szawiel (Karen) of Keokuk; her grandchildren, Harry Whiteside (Amie), Cynthia Stephens, Bethany Haage, Emilee McElroy (Eric) and Carly Vander Velden (Arjay); and her brother Calvin Meier of Kahoka, MO.. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Printy Funeral Home (917 Blondeau St, Keokuk, IA 52632-4921). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
