He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Faye and Alma Louise McVeigh Boyd; his wife Vivian Lee Finton; his children, Douglas, Amy and Cindy; his grandson Austin Boyd; and his siblings, Frieda, Jeanette Boyd and Carroll Boyd.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Mead of Keokuk and Kimberly Brewer of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Brandon Mead (Kayla), Tim Mead (Leann), Tyann Brewer (Buck), Cory Brewer (Cheyenne), Emily Khun (Joe) and Abigail Hardy; and his siblings, Carl Boyd (Donna) of Wheaton, Leona Elder of Kahoka, Alma Finton of Warsaw, Helen Dempsey of Keokuk and Dorothy Boyd of Memphis, Missouri.. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
