She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Unger and Berta Lou Bishop Unger; and her son Damian Michael Bishop. She is survived by: her husband Rodney Sewell; her son Larry Claudy (Nadia) of Los Angeles, CA; her grandchildren, Mikayla Arianna Bishop, Ashley Ann Bishop, Isaiah W. Claudy and Azriel K. Claudy; and her sisters, Saundra Melancon (Jerry), Deena Morales (Frank) and Nancy McCarty (Gary) of Keokuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made for her daughter-in-law, Nadia, who has been battling cancer for many years.
