He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donald, Lucille Robson, Faye, Charles Crawford, George and Clara Gimbel; his sister Janet D. Gimbel; and his parents-in-law, Vicki Hendrickson and Larry King.
He is survived by: his parents, George R. Gimbel and Lela Robson Gimbel; his wife Melinda King; his children, Brettney Osborne of Urbana, IL, Vanessa Gimbel of Keokuk and George Thomas "G. T."; his brothers, Ronald Gimbel (Tracy) of St. Peters, MO and Ernie Gimbel (Leah) of Poplar Bluff, MO; his brothers-in-law, Brent Spoores (Jessica) of Hamilton, IL and Eric Spoores (Amy) of Warsaw, IL; and his stepfather-in-law Gary "Joe" Stiles of Keokuk. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
