George L. Vermillion Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George L. Vermillion Jr. of Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father George L. Sr.; his spouse Lil Buerklin; his grandparents, Sam, Sr., Amy Vermillion and Wilimene; his daughter Elizabeth; and his siblings, Herby Vermillion, Jack Vermillion, Sam Vermillion, Gloyd "Sleepy" Vermillion and Mary Helen Vermillion.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Vermillion of Keokuk and George L. Vermillion III (Kancy) of Nicolett; his grandchildren, Adam Vermillion (Sarah) of Eldridge, IA, Christopher Vermillion (Leslie) of North Mankato, MN, Dan Workman (Lacey) of Donnellson, IA and Hailey Workman of Des Moines; his great grandchildren, Quinn Vermillion of North Mankato, Zach Vermillion of North Mankato, Gracie Vermillion of Eldridge, Scarlett Young of Eldridge, Elora Young of Eldridge, Ender Young of Eldridge and Wyatt Workman of Donnellson; and his siblings, Carol Laffey (Paul "Bud") of West Point, IL, Gertie DeRosa of Hayden, Dorothy Judd of Hayden and Clayton "Bucky" Vermillion (Kathy) of Keokuk. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
