He is survived by: his spouse Shakuntala Patel; his children, Bhavesh Patel (Nisha) of Canada and Alpa Patel (Jigar) of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Kishan of Keokuk, Isha Patel of Keokuk, Janvi of Keokuk and Jiya Patel of Keokuk; and his brother Arvindbhai Patel of Keokuk.
