He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Robert and Mildred Thompson McGee; his siblings, Ellie McGee, Thelma Sherrill, John Burgess and Spike Burgess; his nephews, Howard Burgess and Marty Bennett; and his niece Barbara Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Travis McGee (Sarah) of Warsaw, Mildred McGee of Keokuk and Mary Lester of Burlington; his stepchildren, Richard Bennett (Monica) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Michelle Bennett of Keokuk, Diana Bennett of California and Shawn Bennett of Keokuk; his close friend Peggy McGee; and his siblings, Dan Burgess (Linda) of Keokuk, Sally Bennett of Keokuk, Bobby McGee (Wanda) of Keokuk, Jesse McGee of Keokuk, Kim Korschgen (Phil) of Keokuk, Becky Hurt of Keokuk, Jeanne Denning (Wesley) of Kahoka and Richard Burgess (Sue) of Kahoka. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren.
