Marilyn Jean Jones Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2025, at the age of 81, Marilyn Jean Jones of Keokuk, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Marilyn Jean's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Henry and Pansy V. Howell Coop; and her brothers, Joe Coop and Richard Coop. She is survived by: her sons, Kurt Thomas Houghton (Michelle) of Keokuk and Steven Clark Houghton of Burlington, IA; her granddaughter Megan Jessica Mcmillan of Ottumwa, IA; her brother Edward Coop (Rosemary) of Florida; and her nephew Jason Coop (Emily). She is also survived by several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Keokuk National Cemetery (1701 J St, Keokuk, IA 52632).
