He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Peel and Eva Peel; his sons, David Peel (Kimberly) of Ft. Collins and Thomas Peel (Kasandra) of McKinney, Texas; his sister-in-law Jody Hendricks of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Carter Peel, Jayme Peel (Robin) and Joel Fisher (Heather); his great grandchildren, Madison and Emma Fisher; his wife Alice; and his sister Lilian. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
His request was that in lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Hoerner YMCA and the Keokuk Lions Club.
