He was predeceased by: his father Daniel Szalma; his siblings, Jeff Szalma, Kurt Ammerman and Stacy Ammerman; and his grandfather Walter Riker.
He is survived by: his mother Joan Marie Szalma (Riker) of New London; his children, Ryder and Zoltan; the mother of his children Alisha; his fiancée Miranda of Keokuk; and his grandmother Susanne Riker of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
