It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Bernice Gilkerson of Knoxville, Iowa, born in Oakland, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her mother Inez Leona Colvin (Dobbs); her husband Donald Ivas Gilkerson; her father Eldon Colvin; her brother Leo Colvin; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Gilkerson, Mary Jean, Joe Jessen, Doris, Dick Sutton, Dorothy and Charles Jessen.

She is survived by : her children, Edward Gilkerson (Marlene), Marcea Reuther (Rob) and Steven Gilkerson (Lisa); and her sister-in-law Sandra Colvin. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be given in Billie's memory to the First United Methodist Church.
