She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Sparks and Opal Sparks (Shotwell); her husband Jack Onstank; her siblings, Lila Carter, Richard Sparks, Karen Angove and Dorothy Sparks; and her great grandchild Kevin Clark, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Kristi Thompson (Butch) of Knoxville and John Onstank (Toni Poli) of Creston; her grandchildren, Lisa Clark (Kevin), Kenny Johnson, Matthew Onstank and Branden Lee; and her great grandchildren, Joe, Nick, Jack, Bret, Alexander and Isabella.

Memorials may be given in Carmila's memory to Knoxville Fire and Rescue.
