He is survived by: his former wife Mary Bergren; his wife Jennie Just-Lightfoot; his children, Gerald Lightfoot (Donna) of Bremerton, WA, John Lightfoot (Lora) of Merced, CA, Gwen Cherf (David) of Merced, CA and Cathy Smith (Darin) of Bellevue, NE; his stepchildren, John Norman, Dan Just of Knoxville, IA, Mark Just (Shari) of Brentwood, TN and Terri Freeman (Mark) of Bismarck, ND; and his sister Mary Miller of Lovettsville, VA. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in Gus' memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, Disabled American Veterans, Wounded Warriors, or PEO Chapter M4 Scholarships.
