She was predeceased by : her parents, Engle VanderVeer and Faye VanderVeer (Beaver); her husband Carl Briggs; her daughter Audrey Agan (Chris); her son-in-law Jim Sevier; and her siblings, Jim, Roy, Violet, Thelma and Jack.

She is survived by : her daughters, Deborah Sevier (Bob Conrad) and Carla Veldhuizen (Dwight); her grandchildren, Lisa Curnes, Stacie Spaur, Brad Veldhuizen (Stacy), Andrea Hudachek (Eric), Bret Agan, Bleu Agan and Ashley Dolittle (Cody); and her siblings, Wayne VanderVeer (Betty), Engle VanderVeer Jr. (Sharon), Patricia Williams (Dennis) and Paul VanderVeer (Ruth Fridlington).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home - Knoxville (202 E Washington St, Knoxville, IA 50138). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Graceland Cemetery (102 Willetts Dr, Knoxville, IA 50138).
