He was predeceased by: his parents, David Zea and Sylvia Zea (Steinberg); his son Jarrod; his pets, Muffin, Smokey and Pixie; his mother-in-law Lois Spillman; his grandparents, Patrick and Gertrud Steinberg; his great-grandparents, Marge, Darwin, Darrly and Wayne; his niece-in-law Rachel Reuter; his aunt Janice; and his uncle Hank Guse.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his son Jakob Zea (Samantha); his grandchildren, Lacie, Olivia, Walker and Skyler; his grandmothers, Becky Smith (Bob) and Mary Zea (Todd) of Wisconsin; his brother Steve of Ankeny; his brother-in-law Glenn Delagardelle of Washburn; his cousin Kim Rabb (David) of Minnesota; his father-in-law Robert Mather; his siblings-in-law, Tyree Mathern (Lory) of Arizona, Brendy Reuter of Waterloo, Jen Swaney (Chad) of Waterloo and Jenny (Billy) of Clinton; and also, Angel and Gwen. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Post 207 (302 Cedar St, La Porte City, IA 50651).
