He was predeceased by: his siblings, Donald Buss and Phyllis Hoffman; his parents-in-law, Jacob Schumacher and Margaret Schumacher; and his siblings-in-law, Duane Schumacher, Max Hoffman and Dolores Hagemann.
He is survived by: his wife Joan of Lake City; his daughters, Brenda of Lake City and Linda of Glidden; his grandchildren, Melissa Buss, Nathan Christian and Clayton Christian; his great grandchild Makinlee Hingeley; and his sisters-in-law, Bill Schumacher, Jeanne Schumacher, John Smith, Lois Smith, Jean Schumacher and Norbert Hagemann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
