He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Vey and Doris Darlene Stevenson (Powell); his former wife Lois Elaine Barth; his wife Sherry Dawn Jackson; his children, Kelly Payne-Martz (Shane Martz) of Lamoni, Kris Stevenson (Leanna) of Lamoni and Heather Anderson (Sam) of Lamoni; his grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Garrett, Torie, Javin, Kelan, Trevor, Bailey and Chloe; and his sister Dotty Stevenson of Sun City, Arizona. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
