He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Bud" Kraft and LaVera Kraft (Brodersen); his in-laws, Merle and Margaret Grayson; his granddaughter Gabby Kellen; his niece Linda Dean; his brothers-in-law, Joe Johnson, CJ "Packy" Saxen and Keith "Pete" Grayson; his brother Steve; and his sister-in-law Julie Grayson.
He is survived by: his wife Mabeth Kraft of Larrabee, Iowa; his children, Tammy (Mark Whittle), Tracy (Denise Kraft), Tori Kraft of Cherokee and Melissa (Karl Kellen); his grandchildren, Justin Grause (Preslee Newman) of Lexington, Cody Rassel (Angie Forney) of Cripple Creek, Brycen Mough (Paris) of Gonzales, Laura Stokely (Jake) of Larchwood, Derik Smith of Sioux Falls, Krista Pfingsten (Tyson) of Wahpeton, Paige Randall (Taylor) of Cherokee, Wyatt Kraft of Ute, Allysa Kraft of Cherokee, Kameron Kraft of Cherokee, Justus Kraft of Missouri, Ethan Roberson of Cherokee, Emily Strayer (Austin) of Ackley, Avery Kellen of Granville, Zach Kellen (Kelsey) of Granville, Allison Kanaly (Tyler) of Sioux Center, Morgan Kellen (Abby) of Alton and Mason Horkey of Alton, Iowa; his siblings, Barb Johnson of Hinton, Judy Solko (Marv) of Calumet and Brian Kraft (Diane) of Cherokee, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Rhonda Saxen of Cherokee and Craig Grayson (Melody) of Mason City, Iowa. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boothby Funeral Home (207 E Main St, Cherokee, IA 51012). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
