It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon R. Stanford of Larrabee, Iowa, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leon R. Stanford to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Stanford and Carrie Stanford (Leeds); his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Malcolm, Harley and Joy Tharpe.
He is survived by: his friend Margaret Stanford (Brewster); his children, Doug Stanford (Vicki) of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Denise Stanford of Watauga, Texas; his grandchildren, Matthew Stanford (Cindy), Jason Stanford (Kristin), Amy Stanford and Emily Churchman; his great grandchildren, Jackson, William, Lily and Anne; his brother Duane Stanford (Sharon); and his sister-in-law Opal Stanford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because of the pandemic, there will be no funeral service.
