He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Sr. and Margaret Hansen (Gaul); his granddaughter Jamie Hansen; and his siblings, Irene Leinen, Mary Ann Streff, Dolores Ludwig, Cletus Hansen, Lawrence Hansen, Ambrose Hansen, Alfred Hansen, Leonard Hansen and Gerald Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Margo of Le Mars; his sons, Steve Hansen (Carol) of Le Mars, Patrick Hansen (Jean) of Le Mars, Ken Hansen (Marge) of Le Mars, Jerry Hansen (Lori) of Santan Valley, AZ and Tim Hansen; and his siblings, Rita Pottebaum of Yuba City, CA, Margaret Hansen of Pontiac, MI and Emil Hansen Jr. of Slayton, MN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
