He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Warren Grant and Nadine Boyd; his parents-in-law, Victor and Mildred Lockwood; his son Joshua Dan; his siblings, Warren Lee Boyd and Louellen Eastin; his wife Nancy Boyd of Leon; his children, Johnny (Lisa Boyd) of Waukee, Tabatha (Brett Carney) of Ames, Matt (Michelle Boyd) of Indianola and Nicci (Joey Gregg) of Leon, Iowa; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Meridan, Ben, Brycen, Tyler, Mackenzie, Sadie, Ansley, Lyndon, Ashton, Kaylee, Ledger and Tucker; his siblings, Janet (Wayne Richman) of Leon and Terry (Jeanne Boyd) of Leon; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Eastin of Leon and Cindy Boyd of Decatur, Iowa. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many, many friends.

A memorial fund has been established by the Family in lieu of flowers.
