He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Hatfield and Grace Hatfield (Woody); his wife Hazel; his brother-in-law Agnes Bunse; his son Jerry Hatfield of Leon; his grandchildren, Kevin Hatfield (Darci), Kyle Hatfield (Jackie), Kirk Hatfield (Bridget), Kendall Hatfield, Tim Covington (Stephanie), Hannah Main (Quincy), Titus Covington (Kaylee) and Victoria Schmidt (Adam); and also Carl Bunse.
He is survived by: his children-in-law, Terri Hatfield of Leon, Judy Hatfield of Leon, Jane Hatfield of Leon, Janice Covington of Leon, Mike Covington of Leon, Joan Birkenholtz, Rick Birkenholtz of Kanawha and Cindy Stiles of Leon.
