He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Laverne "Pete" and Francis Rankin Overstreet; his siblings, Potter, Ronnie, Byron, Burton and Donna Augsburger; his nephew Rollie Overstreet; and his niece Cheryl Meinke.

He is survived by : his former life partner Jean Heminger; his children, Rick of Keosauqua, Deb of Stockport, Donnie (Kathy) of Farmington and Pam of Keosauqua; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Augustus and Jaidann.
