He was predeceased by: his parents, Tosten Halverson and Evelyn Halverson; and his siblings, Oscar, Conrad, Daymond and Wanda Todd.

He is survived by: his siblings, Hartzel, David and Gay (Steve); and his sister-in-law Ellen.
