He is survived by: his wife Sue Smothers of Lone Tree; his children, Gale Koven (Robert) of Marietta, Gwen Thompson (Ward) of San Diego and Bart Smothers (Connie) of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Megan Dotson (Jeremy), Corey King (Joey), Bobby Koven (Rachel) and Matt Koven (Jacqueline); his great grandchildren, Jacob Dotson, Jenna Dotson and Isabelle Koven; his brother Berle Smothers (Margaret) of Sumner; and his sister-in-law June Smothers of Martelle.
