He is survived by: his parents, Edward Welsh and Wilfreda Welsh (Durbala); his spouse Beatrice Kathleen "Kathy" Bregar; and his children, Michelle, Mindy and Mark.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to JDRF and the Welcome Home.
