She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Sahm and Marcella Sahm (Schmitt); her husband Lavern Langel; her brother Bill Sahm (Doris); and her in-laws, Elmer Langel (Mary), Germaine Ungs (Art), Virgie Dingbaum (Lester), Sally Wegmann (Alvin) and Melvin Langel.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Hayes (Bob) of Holy Cross, Daniel Langel of Dubuque and Steven Langel (Dee) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Mike (Katie), Sarah, Lisa Hayes and Erin Langel; her great grandchildren, Nolan, Ethan and Quinn Hayes; her stepgrandchildren, Destiny Ortman, Christina Geweke (Scott) and Dustin Fannon (Elise); and her sister-in-law Doris Langel. She is also survived by 4 step great-grandchildren; 7 step great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kramer Funeral Home (750 12th Ave SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (103 S Andres St, Luxemburg, IA 52056).
