He was predeceased by : his parents, Rasmus Dahle-Melsaether and Otilie Dahle-Melsaether (Jernslett); his siblings, Johan, Ole (Maureen) and Anna Christiansen; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Melsaether.

He is survived by : his wife Linda; his children, Jon (Laurie), Dave, Darren (Amy), James Melsaether and Laura Horstmann (Rick); his brother Philip; and his brother-in-law Bob Christiansen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many wonderful in-laws.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Iowa in Ozzie's honor.
