He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hamann (Waderich) of Smithland; his children, Tracy Koett (Brian) of Lago Vista, Kim Whitton (Phil) of Bastrop, Shawn Hamann (Brenda) of Rodney and Jerri Haindfield (Ryan) of St. Paul, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Cory Ping, Taylor Koett, Laura Saucedo (Ben), Phillip Whitton, Christopher Whitton (Leslie) of Texas, Katelynn Goodvin, Samantha Engle (Lee), Brittany Sanchez (Sammy), Troy Hamann (Shay Reetz), Amy Oleson (Thomas), Kerensa Hamann of Iowa, Connor Haindfield and Lucas Haindfield of Minnesota; and his family Bandit.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (504 Walnut St, Mapleton, IA 51034). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
