It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Stewart (Maquoketa, Iowa), born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard W. Merriam and Mary Lulu Merriam (Arnold); her husband William Warren Stewart; her grandson Robert Stewart; her son-in-law Dennis Burke; and her brother Robert Merriam.
She is survived by : her children, Andrew Stewart (Fayette) of Ellicott City, Richard W. Stewart of Cedar Rapids, Mary Hayward (Richard) of Maquoketa and Janet Burke of Lost Nation; and her sister Anne Wischmeier of Burlington, Iowa. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Maquoketa FFA Ag Learning Center, or your favored charity.
